An Amazing Response from Our Stone Carving Workshop!

As part of the HSHAZ Heritage Skills Training a Stone Carving Workshop took place on Friday 28^th October at Burnley College.  20 members of the public attended the course learning how to use appropriate tools using traditional and simple carving methods.  They all created their own beautiful masterpiece of stonework to take home.

What was the most useful or interesting part of the training?

Stone carving can be traced back to ancient civilisations and it is important that we retain these valuable skills.

Love learning new things, and this really opened my eye as to what I can do. Really good workshop. I can’t wait for more.
